“New” Nike Air Pegasus 31 | God’s Shoe Lesson
Approximately 5 and a half years ago, I made a decision to “purchase” one of the best “running shoes” on the market, “Nike Air Pegasus 26.” A little over 2 years ago, I thought it would be nice to upgrade to a “Newer Model.” However, what I realized is that the quality, look, and comfort that existed in my “old pair” of Nike Pegasus exceeded that of the “Newer Model” Nike Pegasus.
Around that same time, some people told me that I needed to get a “new pair of shoes.” Others told me that “my old shoes” had served their purpose, were old, wore down, and had already seen their best days. Some even went as far as to tell me that waiting for Nike to create a Newer Model with the same quality, look, and comfort I was looking for, did not make sense because “Nike” has already built a globally recognized brand and is no longer concerned with future growth through quality products.
I was not happy about my current “Shoe Situation,” but I refused to settle for a different “brand” that did not fit or exceed my overall needs and quality that I was accustomed to. Well, guess what??… After over two years of waiting, and “seeking a solution” to my “shoe challenge,” Nike stepped up their running shoe game this year with Nike Air Pegasus 31. The same quality, look, and comfort that I grew accustomed to all rolled into one.
Although I may not have been happy, or may not have agreed with Nike’s decisions over the last few years, I was patient and stayed committed. After seeing what other brands had to offer, and comparing them with Nike’s track record, I was confident at some point in the future that Nike would re-create a newer and improved model of my “old shoes.”
Who knows, maybe God designed the “newer model Pegasus” just for me! Thank goodness I did not buy into my season of disappointment by changing brands because now I am wearing a Newer, Sexier, & more comfortable model of “my same old Nike Pegasus shoes.” (that are money green by the way) God’s timing is always the best timing. It may not always come when we want it… However, it WILL NOT TARRY!!!
Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
